Friday, 3-20-15 – WOD 15.4

Update: apologies for anyone going in during the morning and looking for me – after a rough night of sleep for one of the kiddos, I’m not going to be able to make it in this morning. See you all at lunch.

We’ll hit this up early…I should be there a little after 0600, and will bring my weights (and tape, and tape measure). I only have one set of weights, though.

8-minute AMRAP:
3 handstand push-ups
3 cleans
6 handstand push-ups
3 cleans
9 handstand push-ups
3 cleans
12 handstand push-ups
6 cleans
15 handstand push-ups
6 cleans
18 handstand push-ups
6 cleans
21 handstand push-ups
9 cleans
Etc., following same pattern

Coach Caroline will also be there at 0845.

  1. I am planning on doing it at lunch and Cruz may also. I wanna get it in early so I can possibly redo it on Monday if I completely bomb it.

  2. Had the pleasure of working out with Karina and Susan today!!! Since none of us are signed up for the Open and are not competing, we felt no obligation to stay within the guidelines too tightly. Both are working on specific weaknesses and felt comfortable scaling the workout as needed. Both did amazingly well. Karina used 29k for push press and 25 k for cleans. Susan did 5 HSPU negatives with an AbMat on the floor instead of push press.
    Karina: made it through 5 Push Presses into her 3rd round for a total of 45 reps

    Susan: made 3 cleans into her 3rd set. 38 reps.

    I was able to do the workout Rx’d and made it through 10 HSPU’s into my round of 15 for a total of 55 reps.

    I think I might like to repeat on Monday just to see 🙂

  3. Wow that’s a good job! I made it to 35 but will do it again on Monday and am shooting for 55. Ambitious? Yes a little but I think now that I kinda know what is up I will have a better strategy.

  4. Got a grand total of 23 reps. (For those of you keeping score at home, that’s one HSPU short of finishing the 9.) If it’s not already evident, HSPU are a major weakness of mine…and I have to be more disciplined in my work/rest. Definitely re-doing on Monday. Goal is to get at least halfway through the 12 HSPU.

  5. Rocked out a score of 22.The HSPU rest cycle got me and really have to perfect the kipping in HSPU. The cleans where heavier than expected. Good times.
